President-elect of the Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN), Mr. Victor Okhai has congratulated Nigerian Afrobeats' sensations, Burna Boy and Wizkid.
Burna Boy emerged winner on Sunday night at the 63rd Grammy Awards' Best Global Music Album category with his album, 'Twice As Tall' and Wizkid won in the Best Music Video category, with Beyonce, Blue Ivy and SAINt JHN on the song, ‘Brown Skin Girl’, off the 2019 album, ‘The Lion King’ respectively.
The DGN President-elect also congratulated Nigerian - British born artist and director, Jenn Nkiru, who directed the ‘Brown Skin Girl’ video alongside Beyonce.
In a press release, Mr. Okhai expressed the Guild's delight while acknowledging the duo's flexibility. "I feel honoured as I congratulate you for your achievements. The Directors Guild of Nigeria proudly congratulates you on your successes. Our core value of reward for hard work has manifested through your resilience and self-beliefs. Congratulations, you are worthy Ambassadors". The statement read.
