Dr. Okhai Commiserates With Governor Eno Over Wife’s Death

The Directors’ Guild of Nigeria (DGN) expresses its sincere condolences to Governor Umo Eno and the entirety of Akwa Ibom following the demise of the State's First Lady, Patience Umo Eno, who passed away on September 26, 2024, at the age of 57. This loss is deeply felt, and we join in honoring her significant contributions while extending our sympathies during this period of bereavement.

 

Dr. Victor Okhai was truly taken aback by the sudden loss of Mrs. Patience Eno. He fondly described her as a devoted mother and a pillar of her family, who embodied grace and selflessness throughout her entire life.

 

In a heartfelt message of condolence, the DGN President, Dr. Victor Okhai, conveyed his deepest sympathies to the entire Eno family following the passing of their beloved mother. He emphasized the profound impact of losing a loving and caring mother like the late Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, acknowledging the irreplaceable void left by her departure. Dr. Victor Okhai also highlighted the significant loss experienced by the people of Akwa Ibom State and the nation as a whole, recognizing her remarkable contributions to humanity.

 

“I extend my deepest condolences to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, the children, family, and the good people of Akwa Ibom on the passing of the First Lady, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo-Eno. It is deeply saddened by the news of Mrs. Eno’s demise at a time when her husband and the family most needed her support, love, and companionship. Our prayers are with His Excellency and other members of the family at this challenging period. I urge Governor Eno to stand firm in the belief that his beloved wife has only gone to rest in a place of eternal peace.”

 

He urged the governor's family to take comfort in knowing that the late Mrs. Patience Eno lived a life worthy of emulation. He also prayed for the family to find the strength to bear the painful and irreparable loss.
